Can anxiety cause things like this, or is it likely a side effect of medication?

My grandfather had very bad anxiety problems and he did of an aneurysm, and we believe it was from his anxiety

Definitely, anxiety can cause nearly anything. I once saw a patient whose temperature would spike to 104 in less than a half hour and then drop again, due to anxiety. If this is either a very uncommon side effect of the medication or an unknown side effect of the medication and you suffer from anxiety, I would probably chalk it up to that.
