is Post traumatic stress disorder somthing that effects a person sociologically?

People with PTSD are often very withdrawn from society, very fearful of engaging in social activities. Often their anxieties prohibit them from going out in public or attending social functions.

It's related because it affects their relationships with other people. A person with PTSD may have horrendous flashbacks of the event, disassociation, flashbacks, signs of hyper arousal, like insomnia, trouble concentrating, anger problems, etc., and, most importantly: "avoidance to the point of having a phobia of places, people, and experiences that remind the sufferer of the trauma and a general numbing of emotional responsiveness"
