I have them all of the times during storms, big tests and when i'm around needles. I get light headed, headaches, hyperventilate, my nose bleeds and I cry a lot. When situations are really bad I black out.

my brothre's had a coupple of these.. about 3.. and 1 of them was really bad.. the symptoms are..
shortness of breath (makes u breathe faster)
then your muscles start contracting..
then your body starts to paralyze..
then its even harder to breathe..
and if you dont get the person to calm down they could die.. my brother was being taken to the hospital by my brother when he completely stopped breathing.. but then he like randomly started breathing again.. and also your body starts to either turn purple or really pale..
this is caused by stress.. or like when you're really worried about something.. my brother had two jobs.. and he has a daughter in anopther country.. he came here to like be able to give her all she needs…(he sends money every months) and when he finds out that his daughter is not good he gets all worried and then the panic attack kicks in.. you just have to get the person to calm down and start breathing slower.. because if not it wont go away..
also when they took my brother to the hospital my mom was really scared and worried.. (she was at the hospital) and the same thing started to happen to her.. but the doctors told her to calm down and it went away.. hope i helped! =)

Symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder include muscle tension, trembling, shortness of breath, fast heartbeat, dry mouth, dizziness, nausea, irritability, loss of sleep and not being able to concentrate. Panic attacks last about 5 to 30 minutes and may include any of the symptoms listed in the above. Prescription medications can be effective for short-term relief, but symptoms will typicallyreoccur once the medication is stopped.
Therapy can help with identifying triggers and learn ways to cope with the fear and anxiety you feel from those triggers. Therapy may last just a short time or for a year or more. Cognitive Therapy Focuses on creating an understanding of the thought patterns that bring on worry. Behavior Therapy Focuses on taming anxiety through control of specific ways the body overreacts to worry. Modern psychotherapy/psychiatry treats symptoms because symptoms can be quantified and identified, or so it is claimed by traditional modern medical and psychiatric practices. If you suffer from this disorder, your doctor may prescribe medications and recommend therapy.
