Guild GAD-50 Acoustic Guitar Antique Sunburst (Antique Sunburst)
Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under GAD |
GAD50All of Guilds dreadnoughts are 15-3/4″ wide and feature all solid woods. All employ Guilds time-proven “X” bracing pattern. Their hand-shaped dreadnought necks measure 1-11/16″ width at the nut with a 25-5/8″ scale length and are equipped with Grover Rotomatic tuners. In addition, All Guild guitars are accompanied by a deluxe archtop case. The Guild GAD-50 was designed utilizing a body shape that is the most popular acoustic body shape in the world and has been used for over 70 years. Guild uses solid Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, a solid spruce top that features scalloped bracing, and then joined the one piece mahogany neck with the traditional dovetail neck joint. For other appointments on the GAD-50 they use Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. They continued the use of high quality tone woods by featuring ebony for the pearl dot inlayed bridge and strap pins, then added wood bindings, and Grover Rotomatic tuning gears. For the best in tone and intonation, they installed a bone nut and bone compensated saddle. For the finishing touches they inlayed classic pearl fingerboard inlays and then pack the instrument in a wooden arched case. A guitar worthy of representing over 50 years of fine guitar building by Guild Guitars….
